ARTISTS TO PLAY “PHILLY FORGET ME NOT” TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME – DARYL AND JOHN’S FIRST SINGLE IN OVER 15 YEARS
PAWLING, NY (March 30, 2018) – Ahead of their momentous co-headline North American summer tour, Daryl Hall & John Oates and Train have released the single “Philly Forget Me Not.” Listen to it HERE. An ode to the former’s hometown, the new track marks the first time Daryl and John have released a new song in over 15 years, since “Do It For Love” in 2002. Daryl Hall & John Oates and Train will also treat fans to a performance of the song every night on tour, kicking off May 1 in Sacramento, CA and wrapping August 11 in Seattle, WA.
iHeart Radio will exclusively stream a live performance from “Daryl’s House” featuring Daryl Hall, John Oates and Train’s Pat Monahan on Tuesday, April 3rd. The live stream will begin at 1:00pm PT/4:00pm ET HERE and will be the first time fans see the artists perform the new single together. “Daryl’s House” is a restaurant and live music venue and also home to “Live From Daryl’s House (www.lfdh.com),” which is a multi-award winning show that started over a decade ago, originally shot at Daryl Hall’s home in upstate New York. It has since become a platform for Hall and musicians to perform for fans around the world.
Produced by Live Nation, the extensive tour will make over 35 stops across the U.S. and Canada including Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto, New York, Nashville, Los Angeles and more. This marks the first time that Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Daryl Hall & John Oates will tour together with fellow award-winning hitmakers, Train. Fans can expect full sets from both Daryl Hall & John Oates and Train, followed by a showstopping joint set featuring each others hits, as well as “Philly Forget Me Not.”
Says John Oates, “It will be cool to play a new song on this upcoming tour with Train.”
“This song pretty much describes my feeling about Philly, my music home,” Daryl Hall added.
“We have all been Hall & Oates fans since we can remember so being on a record with them is a life long dream! Train couldn’t be more excited – listening to them and playing along side them on tour each night is going to be incredible,” said Train frontman, Pat Monahan.
